Duties: |
• Receives assigned patient registration information, reviews to complete any missing information or corrects data on file. Verifies all patient medical insurances on patients by calling employer or insurance company
• Enters and/or updates demographic information for patient visits
• Works necessary reports associated with monthly patient statements
• Works necessary reports associated with demographics denials
• Works necessary reports associated with self pay patients
• Works necessary reports associated with bad address (patients)
• Will review, prepare and submit refund requests
• Will review, prepare and submit patient supplemental bills to patient (s)
• Assist with payment arrangements
• Assists in processing credit card payments from patients
• Other projects as assigned |
Qualifications: |
Knowledge of CPT codes, HCPCS codes, ICD9 coding and CMS 1500 forms. Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work with large volumes. Understands medical terminology and finance business office functions. Must be able to type 45 WPM and have knowledge of personal computers and all office machines. Knowledge of MS Office.
