Description: |
| Growing physician and healthcare facility billing service with a commitment to excellence and outstanding customer service is currently seeking a full-time experienced Medical Billing Specialist to perform billing and coding functions for our Hospital clients. This position requires at least 1 year of medical billing experience working at a medical billing company, surgery center, or hospital with knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding. This applicant must have customer service and computer skills, a professional, positive attitude, and be organized, detail-oriented, and dependable. |
Duties: |
Audit and correct client charge documents.
Monitor charge slip and medical record to verify information.
Research all information needed to complete billing process including obtaining registration and charge information from client.
Enter transactions to system including registration and charge information using applicable journal codes.
Codes procedures and diagnosis information for charges.
Identify and correct billing errors on patient accounts. |
Qualifications: |
1 year or more of medical billing experience.
Comprehensive knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding. |
