IT Support Analyst

Description:

Installs, configures, and maintains the organization's LAN server and workstations. Acts as interface with vendor and provides internal analysis and support. Monitors reliability of network infrastructure and operating systems on multiple platforms. Diagnoses and repairs problems. Sets up and observes network systems. Recommends upgrades or improvements. Supports development of technical standards and application uses. Resolves network problems and offers technical assistance to users. Establishes and implements policies and procedures for LAN/WAN usage throughout the organization. Coordinates with other IS areas to resolve problems if necessary.

Analyzes, plans, designs, and installs new personal computer systems and reviews, monitors and upgrades existing personal computer systems. Determines user specifications for hardware and software. Purchases or builds software to meet user needs. Installs new, and maintains existing hardware and software. Investigates hardware problems and performs system hardware and communication connection repairs. Performs diagnostic testing. Major problems or repairs are generally directed to outside vendors.

Analyzes business needs and new technology and makes recommendations. Develops organizational policies and procedures for hardware and software acquisition and use.

Oversees all technical aspects of an organization's website. Upgrades and maintains servers, hardware, software, telecommunication connections, e-mail, and security systems. Investigates system errors, performs backups, and ensures user accessibility and site performance.

Duties:

Physical Demands:
Need to be able to transport workstations and other computer hardware to and from multiple different locations. Must be able to lift 25-50 pounds. Requires ability to get under workstations to service hardware. May include prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires hand eye coordination, and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, telephone, photocopier and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports and analyze hardware. Minor maintenance of other non-IT office equipment, machines or facilities will be expected.

EXAMPLE OF DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)

1) Responsible for timely resolution of issues reported through the Helpdesk ticket system. Evaluating issues for urgent action or escalation to the IT team.
2) Facile with radiologist read room support, including efilm.
3) Able to support all Midas hardware deployments.
4) Supports non-Midas desktop, monitors, applications, such as Cadstream, Simplant, and other radiologist user applications.
5) Supports business office desktops and hardware.
6) Shows some facility with network support.
7) Familiar with and able to support IT applications including iRad, Eprelim Fusion, MTC support, File Center, Atstaff, Great Plans, and numerous other software applications.
8) Shows tremendous initiative and customer service dedication.
9) Responsible for transcription workflow processes (Fusion, MTC issues) and demonstrates keen understanding of the management processes for all MIDAS and iRad transcription procedures.
10) Assist with scanner support functionality.
11) Assist with maintaining applications through File Center.
12) Assist with problem resolution regarding auth by fax and eprelim.
13) Knowledgeable in all read room configurations and applications.
14) Facilitates business office user needs with regard to MIDAS import and export processes that support billing functions and data reporting.
15) Assists RIS project manager with writing management style reports as requested by the clients/users.
16) Responds to issues reported by the clients/users in a timely manner.
17) Maintains and monitors the many existing management reports scheduled daily to run (at business office and VMC and Merritt environments).
18) Trouble-shoots problems as they are reported; individual is expected to solve report (RR) issues. (Review things such as relations; queries; calculated fields, etc.)
19) Assists RIS project manager with developing documentation pertaining to the RIS and iRad software.
20) Assists with the testing of features included in new releases.
21) Understands the workflow in a clinical setting; specifically related to using the RIS.
22) Understands the database schema- this is very important as it gives the individual a foundation for successfully writing and/or modifying reports.
23) Upholds and supports Medicare compliance plans and regulations.
24) Available to support iRad inquiries as needed.
25) Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Prior relevant IT (hardware specific) work experience preferred.
