The Anesthesia Client Services Manager is responsible for enhancing and maintaining a properly functioning revenue cycle process through a cross-department organizational structure. Critical responsibilities include achievement of key performance measures which define revenue cycle performance and both drive and maximize organizational and financial performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Provide leadership and direction to; Billing and Coding Managers, Payment Posting Manager, Collections Manager, Education and Development Manager and client staff.
  • Collaborates activities between departments, assembles and analyzes daily, weekly and monthly reports to assure proper staffing and work flow in all areas.
  • Motivate and lead a high-performance management team; attract, recruit and retain required members of management as needed; provide mentoring as a cornerstone to management career development.
  • Responsible for driving the company to achieve and surpass revenue, profitability, cash flow and business goals and objectives.
  • Monitor all Key Performance Indicator reports, including staff quality and productivity and address concerns as needed. Ensure Manger and Supervisor reports act with a sense of accountability and ownership as it relates to their work streams.
  • Monitors the monthly process of account transfers to vendors (collections) and performance standards are being achieved.
  • Regularly work with the IT staff and identify ways to standardize systems and ensure that all IT requests outstanding are managed and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Provide support to Senior Regional VP and Senior Management with regard to goal setting, benchmarking, process development, etc.
  • Work closely with leaders in the areas of Operations, Finance, Human Resources, Information Systems, Pain Management, Managed Care and Compliance to achieve business objectives and implement organizational strategy.
  • Work with Director of Operations to overall revenue cycle strategy.
  • Responsible for setup, implementation and on-going maintenance of practice management system with support from the IT Department.
  • Enhance and expand current systems to service more providers.
  • Responsible for working with the Billing Administrators to ensure appropriate training and education for all staff members is delivered.
  • Leadership skills to motivate department performance towards goals and develop team working style.
  • The ability to make a significant contribution to the organization's overall effectiveness.
  • Monitor and support daily staff functions in conjunction with the Revenue Cycle Management Team:
    • Hiring and training of all personnel
    • Ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
    • Counseling employees both ongoing and as part of the annual review process
    • Ensuring performance standards are achieved as described in each individual job description
    • Scheduling and staffing assignments
    • Mentor employees, conduct performance evaluations, counsel and provide disciplinary actions to assigned personnel, and works to facilitate individual and team development that drives positive results.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

  • A bachelor's degree in a business, healthcare, management or finance major.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years healthcare Business Office management experience.
  • Prefer 2 years Anesthesia and/or Pain Management experience.
