We are an established out-of-network medical billing company located in New Hyde Park, Long Island, seeking experienced medical billers with a strong work ethic and superior communication skills. Must be able to work independently and as part of a team. The position requires well-rounded knowledge of the medical billing process including pre-submission review, claim submission and follow-up.

Job Responsibilities:

• Review submitted claims for accuracy
• Conduct timely follow-up and research on all unpaid claims with insurance companies
• Analyze claims to identify trends
• Work on insurance appeals and corrected claims correspondence
• Create and submit appeals and corrected claims packets, and other disputes, as necessary
• Utilize all available portals for claim information
• Coordination and direct communication with clients
• Assist with obtaining pre-authorizations when needed

Qualifications and skills required:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years solid medical billing experience
• Out-of-network billing experience strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be flexible and adaptable to various work environments
• Must be computer proficient
